Anchorage, AK

Mad Dog founder and owner Michael Ardaiz oversees our original Anchorage studio from the seedy, beating heart of Spenard. Born and raised in Anchorage, Michael has spent the last two decades designing everything from the trade dress for a fleet of cargo-hauling 737s to brand identities for well known Alaska companies, and premium ice cream containers to innovative promotions and ad campaigns.

When he’s not working on your projects, you can find Michael at the local comic book shop, music store, or movie theater. Oh, and then there’s Alaska – right outside.

Seattle, WA

The driving creative force behind our downtown Seattle studio is Kris Ryan-Clarke. Kris spent 14 years designing compelling work for our Anchorage clients before opening Mad Dog South. Kris’ work spans dozens of annual reports, an award-winning series of coffee cups for WCP Solutions, logos for many nonprofits and Native corporations, and branding for a series of cargo tugs and barges serving the Bering Sea communities of western Alaska. BTW, Kris’ barges are much cooler than Michael’s planes.

Some of her greatest loves include quad Americanos, chick flicks, heavy machinery, and microbrews with a hoppy influence.
