New Alaska State Chamber Logo Honored by International Design Publications
Anchorage, AK – The new logo for the Alaska State Chamber of Commerce has been honored by three international design publications since its adoption last year. The logo appeared this summer in “Business Graphics: 500 Designs that Link Graphic Aesthetic and Business Savvy,” a new book from Rockport Publishers that studies the relationship between design and business success. Rockport is one the world’s leading publishers in the field of graphic design. In addition, the logo was chosen by Print magazine for its 2007 Regional Design Annual, and appears in the current November/December issue. Selected from more than 20,000 entries, the State Chamber logo was awarded a Certificate of Design Excellence. The new logo will also appear early next spring in “LogoLounge 4,” another Rockport publication. The logo was designed by Mad Dog Graphx, an Anchorage design firm, and unveiled by the Alaska State Chamber of Commerce at their 47th Annual Conference and Business Trade Show in September 2006. Founded in 1996, Mad Dog offers a range of creative and production services, specializing in corporate, retail and brand identity development, and advertising and marketing design.
